I am unable to find any volvo bookings on redbus or makemytrip.

as i already have kalyanotsavam booked.,package tour are of no help as they have tirupati darshan included.

all i want is volvo bus from chennai airport to tirupati.

2) I already booked indigo flights to and fro to chennai.

i need package tour which starts from chennai and ends at chennai.

please help me here.

thanks.

^ well thats what he said. They come with Darshan included.

You can get APSRTC Garuda buses(Volvo) from chennai to Tirupati

Tirupati and Tirumala are different. Tirumala is where the Temple is located and its as you know on top of seven hills.

You can contact fellow member #pranavreddy he is from Tirupati and studies in Chennai.

Thanks vivek.

I will call them up.

anyone knows any travel agency that he can vouch for excellent service,

first time they are going independent.

previously,we all used to travel together with car driver and all but for safety this time they are going seprate.

8 yrs ago we had worst accident while travelling in gujrat and by god's grace we all came out alive.

it was safari which got thrown out of highway on turn after driver lost control in afternoon.vehicle was toppeled twice .

so after that we stopped family tours.

thanks ashok.

doing the needful,

thanks buddy.

Tirumala ghats are probably by far the safest ghats to drive in the country. There are separate routes for going up and coming down and the roads are well laid and maintained. That doesn't stop the drivers from racing though. Note that a journey by road from Chennai to Tirumala (where the main temple is situated) takes between 3.5 hours to 4 hours on an average, and are you comfortable if your parents travel such long hours at a stretch? The road between Chennai and Tirupati isn't that great in some stretches - state highways not maintained well - but is good for the most part. We usually avail a travel agency car - usually a well maintained A/C Dzire or Indigo - but that comes to 5500 (just the car without any food or darshan included). My recommendation would be to stay overnight at Chennai and undertake the return journey to Tirupati the next day.

#thatsashok

Sorry, asked around and someone said that its the same. So mentioned it.

Anyways, #pratikb, you could take a tour, have a visit of both the main temple and the tirumala too, if possible.

You could have booked tickets to Tirupati airport itself or connecting flights and then taken taxi to tirumala from there( takes around 1 hr).

Did mistake of booking through one idiot at cleartrip.he screwed up when I told him two different travel plans.really irritating chap he was and my mistake was I was busy and he pushed me to complete booking in one go.

Complained to his senior, they were ready to cancel the tickets but fine was going to be on his head.

So i left it.

I want local travel agent who can provide parents with car and still better, I would like some tour agency who can give complete package.

If any one of us knows reliable tour operater in Chennai,,that would be best.

At tirupati,I already booked kalyanotsavam.
