Graphic Cards help me....

i have a dell system and it has a 1X,4X, and a 8X pcie slot. i wanted to know will a 8X agp card work in a 8X pcie slot. also are there any 4X or 8X pcie gfx card?

AGP---------> AGP slot
PCI---------> PCI slot

so basically if ur system doesnt have a AGP slot.......answer ---->> No.

u didnt read the post correctly. its a pci-e slot not pci. and since i was not able to find a 4X or a 8X pci-e card so i was thinking of putting a agp card into the pci-e slot.

as far as i know, there are no pci-e graphics cards other than 16x, except perhaps a card by matrox which possibly works at pci-e 1x.

one thing is sure, a card for one particular slot NEVER works in another slot, except AGP 8x and 4x..
