Help: MMC Card Not Working !

The 256mb NCP SD memory card bought for my Nokia6600 has suddenly stopped wrking !!
I had put a password for it !
It does ask me for the password when i boot the phone.. but the phone stops responding and gives "System Error" after that and stops responding !

Tried it in other phones.. same problem !!
Tried it on the pc.. thru a card reader.. refuses to read it..

if it isnt working on the card reader.. then its finished... get it replaced... or take it 2 a nearby shop, and ask him if he can format it smhow....
 
Place the mmc in a stray magnetic field like above the speaker's subwoofer.
or rub any magnet over it.
I had the same prob,thought of this crazy idea,put the mmc card over my subwoofer for abt 24 hours and constantly played music.
Give it a shot

Also no mmc card will show up with any card reader if it is password protected.
 
yup.if u remember ur password u can remove it from your phone settings.
If u dont remember then tell me there is a way for that too!:)
 
See since u have put a password....U won't be able to see the contents on the card reader even if u know the password....

U could try putting the crd in one of those whih allow inserting the card without switching off the phone.....eg Nokia 6630,....Put the card in...Put the password and then format the card....If that doesn't work....Ur card's probably gone....U could try the magnet trick as suggessted by blueyesdude....
 
See i faced this the mem card reader in a laptop wont even recognize the memory card .. until unless the mem card is unlocked.so get it unlocked 4 phone then try card reader.
if its not redeable byy phone thers a solution available csan fix cards. will tell u after i confirm.
 
@blueyesdude... no way to remove the pwd on phone as it locks up as soon as i enter my pwd.. so cant fromat it !!

@scarezabra.. will try the phone in a freinds 6630 or similar phone today and will let ya know..

No guarantee on mmc cards

Sorry to be off topic but i got a nokia 6681 a couple of days back :) .It came with a 64 Mb RS DV MMC cards. I was planning to go for a 512Mb card., Could some body advise the brand and give the rates.

Also if any body knows where to get in hyd , that would be helpful
