Hi,
My cousin, living on malabar hill, has a MTNL triband connection since a year and he is using the 999 plan of 512k ul. His woes, started 3 days ago when his router automatically rebooted itself and since then he found his browsing was slow but downloading was fine. He called 1504 and they solved it then, but to his dissapointment, the same issue came back again the same night at about 11pm.
His browsing is very crawly, infact i went to his place, scanned his pc and even went to the extent of formatting it just to be sure if nothing left over frm an infection could be causing it.
I myself live at malabar hill and i have no issues, my browsing and downloading is all fine. So, i decided to do a ping test on yahoo.com on my cousin's system to see if there were any packet losses, and guess what i find, see the screenshots,
The above image shows the pings on yahoo.
He called 1504 again and all they do is make him wait for 15 to 20 mins and no one comes back to him. What can he do? Is any1 else facing the same?
Oh. just for the record, we also changed the DNS to opendns or google dns or even to the new MTNL dns, but no go.
