I have my Uncle working in St.Louis,MO in the United States . I would like to purchase few PC Parts like Core i 5 procy, Compatible board, Ram, PSU and Graphic Card due to the fact these sells cheap there. If i tell my uncle to buy these from an local shop with cheap prices and ship it to India at cheap rates as Gift Items will there be levied any Customs Duty in India in arrival to my house?

Need all of your advice.

buy proccy, ddr3 and gpu(preferrably one with lifetime warranty) from there.

prefer buying the board and psu locally.

cpu anyways will come with international warranty...similar might be the case with corsair and gskills memory.

Nope i asked AMD INDIA whether stuff bought from international market have warranty in india...and their reply was.....

"WE give warranty for stuffs sold in indian market with valid indian number(tag/identifcation number whtever)"

So make sure b4 getting one

I asked this when a person was selling a cpu in market section and was not ready to reduce price for me saying u can obviously get warranty here...dont know present scenario

I am pretty sure Corsair/GSkill and any other RAM/Mobo/GPU manufacturer does not give warranty for a non-locally sourced product of theirs. Not sure about Intel though.

Yup also my frnds zebronics card which i sold to gaurish...they were not even ready to give warranty in rajhastan for stuff sold from Mumbai....bad luk was the warranty expired.......becoz of 1 my silly carelessness of not checking how much warranty the stuff carry

I have a defective Gskill 4GB PI kit that I got from USA from my friend, Gskill agreed to RMA it, but I will have to send it to Taiwan, wont cost more then 300 via speedpost though.
