I want to reduce temperatures of my Funders Edition 1070.
I recently repasted (Mastergel Maker) and cleaned the heatsink-fan, but temps are still on the high side even at very loud fanspeeds.
I want to mod it, and use it for Apex 1440p gaming for next 6 months.
Currently looking at an AIO + Kraken G12 without removing the RAM + VRM plate on the FE. Will that work?

You havent mentioned temps.
Stock - nothing changed, the card goes to 82°C and throttles to about 75%TDP with fan speed around 55%
If I remove temp limits through afterburner, the temps reach whatever limits I set. So the card is temp limited.
If I set manual fan curve, I can get it to around 85°C at 100% fan speed. It's noisy at that point, but the card is power limited and not temp limited.

Seems to high for 1070.
The ambient temps are over mid-30°C during certain parts of the day. I house this in O11 mini with 2x140mm side intake, 3x120mm bottom intake, 1x120mm rear exhaust and 2x140mm top exhaust fans (all Noctua iPPC3000RPM, set to around 1000-1500RPM), so no airflow issues at all.
