Help needed in connecting Creative T6100 5.1 channel speakers to Acer Aspire 5738

Hi,

Guys my friend bought Creative T6100 5.1 Speakers but now he is not able to connect it to his laptop Acer Aspire 5738..

Will he need some connector or something to connect the speakers to his laptop...there is some symbol like an arrow and some closing bracket...is it some SP-DIF or optical connection...

I am a total noob in this audio things so please help me out ...:ashamed:

IINM the T6100 doesn't support S/PDIF. The normal set up of the T6100 requires three plugs / points on the machine, does the laptop have that? These are the standard outs that come with most sound cards
 
Ya the laptop has 3 jacks 1 analog output and 2 inputs(mic and line in)

The problem is solved by configuring the two input jacks to output by Realtek Sound driver.

Just select the 5.1 channel audio in the sound driver.
