Get the C2D E6300, forget the 3800 x2..the c2d e6300 eats the 3800 for lunch.. n oces much much better...u can easily make an E6600 out of ur E6300 on a stock hsf...since u do not intend to buy the gfx card(i suggest u seriously reconsider this), the intel 965 RY suits ur needs..u can even go for Asus P5B-VM..rest is fine..:) also u dont get the Sony DRU 810 nowadays..its 830A for 2.2k..

but squeeze in another 5k and get atleast a 7300GT...:)

thanks for your reply......

I think Graphics card is Vital, for a gaming PC, Can I opt for a cheaper Mother Board and buy a good GfX card( not the Nvida 6200 which i was using earlier, it was absolute piss...< I can stretch my Budget by another 3K after some serious calculations. How much does Asuz PsB-VM cost in Hyderabad?

i think on a tighter budget like this where u have to squeeze in even a gfx card if possible..go for E 6300 instead of E6400 as it wouldn't make much difference..to u..i suppose..and spend tht extra on a gfx card or better mobo..

Pls Suggest a Good Mother Board then:huh: for some where around 7 K, and is it better to go for E6300 or should i go for E6400:huh:

If you do not have any plans of overclocking excessively then go for the MSI P965 Neo. Its has some very basic overclocking options good enough to get some extra bit of performance. Get a E6300 and set the clock multiplier from 266 to 305 and voila you a stable processor running at E6400 speeds. I have read that this board can go to its max 333 Mhz clock without requiring voltage changes.

Well Guys I got these prices from the vendors

Intel E6300 Conroe - 1.86 GHz 1066MHz 8850
Asus P5B VM 5500
Transcend. 1.0 GB-DDR2-667 Mhz 5150
Seagate 250GB Sata II 3250
SONY DVD RW DRU-830A 2350
Zebronics AntiBiotic Cabinet 1500
Spakers Philips MMS 110 500

Total coming to arnd 27K

Are they correct, pls comment

rather get the MSI Neo P965 for 6-6.5k... will do much better for overclocking as well. and try to squeeze in a Nvidia 7300GS or a second hand 7600GS(will be a much better deal)

RAM seems to be quite expensive, rather go for Corsair Value Select 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 RAM 667 MHz -> Rs. 5200/-
