Graphic Cards Help needed! My 5850 underperformed..:(

^^

It does. Cause the CPU feeds the data to the GPU. Even when I remove the OC, I loose Vantage points -- drastically.

crysis/warhead/BC2/metro2033

Except BC2, none other worth playing IMO.. nothing that epic..

Neways, try to bench Crysis, post the fps....we'll compare.....I think we will have a max difference of 1fps(within error margin)

Guys, I just installed Win 7 64bit and ran 3D Vantage and my GPU score is around 14900 which is clearly explains that 32bit system are holding back my CPU/MEM(system overall). after upgraded to 64bit, my Q6600 score in vantage also increase nearly 1000 score.

So, an easy answer is that the 32bit system are bottlenecking our system while it suppose to run faster in 64bit platform. I'll try to run realtime benchmark in games like RE5, crysis warhead, far cry2 and more games..hope to see an improvements as well..

:) Thanks anyway my TE gurus...

I am getting 12.9k CPU score @ only 3.71GHz in 64bit platform. while using 32bit platform, maximum CPU score i am getting is about 12k @ 3.75GHz. Seems weird isnt it?

Maybe 3DMark Vantage was built purposedly and are optimized for 64bit system? Or maybe there has something to do with system memory limitation in 32bit system..i dunno.

^^
The 64BIT OS would make a difference. Read this and this. Though the thread is old, and pertinent to nVidia drivers, you get a decent idea of 32BIT OS vs. a 64BIT OS.

Could you post a 3dVantage screen shot here, on the 64BIT setting.

good to see that the issue got resolved m8 ... anything over 3.5 GB of RAM (system and video card ram combined)64 bit is gonna make a difference.
