Budget 0-20k Help needed with buying an Internal HDD and RAM

My computer guy quoted a price of 5k for a 200 GB internal HDD and 2 GB RAM. Is it worth it buying?
Also suggest alternates to it. My budget is 5-6k. The more space on the HDD or RAM the better. And tell me the prices from SP Road. I use the computer for normal purposes-watching TV shows, college work, browsing the internet etc. And dont play high end games. So please suggest.
