Help needed with internet connections in India

i currently have the 256 kbps MTNL and im a person who has large download requirements

can anyone let me know of the cheap and high speed plans of the connections that are present in India. The connection should be such that i can download lotsa data but still pay less.

in my opinion...u would like to stick with the same ISP but change the plan..

1. u can go for MTNLs 749 NU plan which will come around 749+50
for ADSL Modem + Tax(im sure u know abt that coz u r already an MTNL user) speed is good..upto 2 Mbps..unlimited down load from 12 am to 8 pm..and 1.25 Gb limit for normal hours..

2. if you are lucky , and have Airtel is available in your area (which normally is not the case everywhere ) un can go for its 256 Kbps ..unlimited for 1249(delhi rate).

3. or can go for Tata indicom 256 Kbps at Rs1000 pm..(also subject to availability of course )

or go for its night unlimited plan

but in my opinion stay with MTNL and go for 749 NU plan it is the best VFM...plan coz airtel and tata are not always available ...(my opinion again)
