Hey guys i have a BSNL broadband connection .

since 2 days i m not able to connect to the internet .

It tells me that i have limited or no connectivity .

If i use my laptop then i m able to connect to the net.

it means that there is no problem with the ADSL modem or the telephone line. The problem is with my PC

I also reinstalled the network drivers but the problem still remains.

I use windows XP professional SP2.

Gyz plz help me out i cant stay without internet i m addicted to it.

thnks in advance

Check the TCP/IP settings for your NW card.....make sure IP address is set for automatic allocation ......If you did not, try uninstalling your NIC drivers before reinstalling..... Windows system restore could work too......you might try connecting via USB port if your Modem supports it........

dude check ur ip address ,try to ping it if ur ip address is 169.168.x.x release it and renew it coz at times APIPA( Automated Private IP address Allocation) takes control of ur ip address so check the address and try

if release and renew doenst work follow the below
1) Try restoring ur PC
2) Power cycle ur modem (ie remove all the cables attached to ur modem and keep it aside for 5 mins)
3) Reset ur TCP/IP /WINSOCK
goto start->run->NETSH WINSOCK RESET

these should work just post whats happening
