help on dongle

Hi all,

I have a tata photon dongle (post paid) with me and the charges are wayward.

Recently i came across the Aircel offers on 3G and would like to pick up the offer. Can I make use of the current dongle I have (It has a space for inserting sim so will I be able to unlock it for other networks)?

Or should I purchase a new dongle? If yes, what are my options?? Meaning, do I have to pickup the model in the Aircel site or can I buy any dongle of my choice?

Suggestions to dongles within 1500 for Aircel/Airtel 3G is highly appreciated.

Can you post some details from the Dongle like model number? You can check from google whether the model can be software unlocked or not? also for 3g depending upon your usage its always advisable to get a unlocked modem from ebay from a good reseller or locally and use any network provider of your choice. use the prepaid connection only and check which one suits you the best. On the Aircel Site the Modems you see are network locked. Do Search Previous threads and you will find very valuable information and posts from users
