Hi tech mates!
I deperately need help on my new work horse
(or my tuf rig or whatever u call an IBM compatible General Purpose Personal Computer). will buy it by mar 16, 2006.

Dont use it for gaming much, but i'd like to play latest games!
and me ultra tight on budget (30k excluding monitor) so please consider that while posting a suggestion.
req is ->
1. Athlon 64 3200+ (or equivalent) with a gud nforce4 ultra board.
(also suggest it with 6150/430 solution)
2. Nv geforce 6600 (NON GT) 256M ddr2 based graphic card (xfx, asus or gigabyte)
3. 1 gb ram (yes, ddr400)
4. 200gb+ storage (primary requirement - use it for a movie server on campus network!)
(if i gotta buy a 160gb then i'll buy another 160gb in next 2-3 months)
5. sobar looking cabinet with psu (wont be spending more than 2500/- on both!)

well thats it!
no optical drive ->already have lg DVD-RAM and quite happy about it!:hap2:
no kbd/mouse ->already have MS w/l optical desktop comfort edition:hap2:
no monitor ->already had help on that, will have samsung 740n by the time u make me decide about the rig!:D
no speakers ->i live in campus hostel! here we have the right to remain silent! :( so only personal audio! already have philips hp840 and sony xd300:cool2:

now all i want is price, dealer and contact no. (mumbai or indore)
i got this from rashi (RP tech), indore ->
athlon 3200 + a8n-e -> 14100/-
some asus extreme 6600 wid 256M -> 6900/-
1 gb simmtronics ddr400 5 yr warranty -> 4200/-
seeing these prices i was less interested in Asus, so other cheap but apt options preffered!

btw, if any one can suggest and justify an Intel machine, i wouldn't mind!

waiting for your replies!

i told u, even if i can play at 1024x768 without any eye candy (AA or AF particularly!) that will do! but sticking to budget is most important and remember! I need more storage than Polygon Power!

thanks anyways though!

Why go for the 3200+, save ur money and go for the 3000+. As mentioned go for the A8N-E. And yea go for the 6600 GT 128 MB. read the two threads for more info. And go for 2X512 MB ram instead of 1 GB and 200 GB SATA hard disk. Prices are

Athlon 64 3000+ - Rs 6000
A8N-E - Rs 5600
2X512 Mb Transcend- Rs 4200
6600 GT 128 Mb- 8000
200 GB SATA - 4500 or so
