Help : OS compatibility before installing

Hi i have a netbook which pre installed with Win7 starter, i want to install windows xp in it, but dont know whether it would have all the drivers for windows xp, how to check that before installing? Also willing to install Ubuntu netbook edition, concerned abt the drivers.. pls help out....

Which netbook..? The manufacturer site should probably have XP drivers.

Why go back to xp. MS i believe has stopped updates for xp. Everything runs fine on win 7. Personally using a 64bit version of it. Just remove the bloatware that vaio provides.....

Ubuntu is another great option.

Win7 starter is too sluggish ...:-( ... thts why in a mind to install winxp...

Win7 is not sluggish itself.

Sluggishness is due to trial crapware that start with the system.

Also get rid of trial anti virus. Use Mcfee removal tool(if Mcfee installed).

Install Kaspersky or MSE.

Use MSCONFIG to stop some programs from starting at boot time.
