Help re-pasting thermal paste for my CLEVO P670RE / SAGER NP8677

Its been 4+ years and thermals have been running a little high. I do regularly clean the fans and open the laptop and do thorough cleaning . But i feel i need to do a repaste for both cpu and gpu (if its possible)

If i can , what thermal paste should i use and what precaution i should use ?

I've seen Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme and Cooler Master MasterGel Maker recommended (or MasterGel Pro, if on a budget).

I had repasted my laptop CPU and GPU with Noctua NT-H1and over the long-term, it has reduced the temperatures by 10-15 degrees.

Also, it is easy to apply with the dot approach with a pea-size dot for the CPU and a larger one for the GPU. It doesn't come with an applicator because you don't need one.

You'll never see much of difference among good pastes. I've tried a lot of them with my P750TM1, it makes little to no difference. You'll be fine with any of these so don't bother too much about the brands.

Ok was able to repaste the laptop.

The older paste was almost like cement. Took me nearly hour each to remove them

The temps are INCREDIBLE !!!!!!!

I think its even Better than when i first bought. The temps have come down 25 degree +


My CPU usually hits 100c in no time , and GPU stays always are 74c

Now.. See the results (Last pics)

Oh btw , tried to do thin pasting using spatula , but it was very uneven on GPU , so did a X style pasting

Couldnt take any pics , because was somewhat nervous at the start.. so only after i screwed down the gpu heatsink , i thought about pics.. it was too late..

I need few help though

Also current RAM is single slotted 16 GB , shall i get another 16gb ? for dual channel performance ?
