Cant get rear speaker output on the right rear :( is there something wrong with the 3.5mm socket? should i take out my sound card and try cleaning the rear wala socket? if this happened to you, what would you do?

please suggest or help me for or give some tips/remedy..

is the speaker working otherwise , when plugged into another jack?

are you sure you didnt plug the rear speaker plug into the centre/sub jack ?

Yep. its working when connected to other jacks.. yes i am dead sure that its rear output which gives only left output... ive checked with my working headphones and same problem with rear output.. wat should i do now?

RMA the soundcard ? not much else

what i asked was , whether you are sure that the connector which you think is the rear jack is really the rear jack, and not the centre/LFE one

hey wait, if you have an M3a ( it had coaxial digital out), what are you doing connecting via analog :S

tats the same thing i was thinking !!

however while playing games with 5.1 channel sound support, it becomes a necessity to connect thru analog mode to get the full effect.

dude.. i am dead sure that its REAR jack and not the centre/L-R :P

cant RMA as it was bought from US just 2 year back.. :bleh:

my card is Audigy 4 (NON PRO) and it doesnt have Optical or co-axial or wateva... :P so should i try cleaning the inside of jack?

HELP :(

lose the audigy and use the onboard SPDIF. I'm sure it might actually sound better :P

Edit: like dinesh said , gaming might be a problem though

Nope. i guess ill have to remove the card and clean and see if any dust is there in the 3.5mm jack :P

y are u persisting with analog inputs of ur soundcard?

trust me ! sound emitted thru digital transferred data is far-far superior than analog sound !

especially in the case of Z5500 !

^^ ahh.. kewl.. will i get the 5.1 effects in music n movies?

only for movies with 5.1 sound. stereo music and movies will be played back as stereo, but you can use the dolby pro logic 2 mode of the speakers to get the surround effect.

what change ill experience between analogue and Coax?

its a small difference. try and see ;)

on the other hand , ask ANP!!

as far as music is concerned
there will be no other difference than u gettin a bit higher volume and a little bit of clarity on the digital connection.

Coax/optical show their magic once u start playing ac3 files or dts files !
eg: 1.36gb movie files or ripped bluray (mkv) files etc

i have connected both the wires, optical and analog.
i switch between them as per my need by changing the default sound output in windows.

ofcourse u can get 5.1 effect which are prerecorded on 2channel stereo on both wires
eg: MP3s and ur small 700 mb movie files.
just select the setting of prologic movie for movies and prologic music for MP3s.

PS:
i love stereo X2 mode while listening to songs.

settings:

keep all the sound level @ default level except the master sound level ofcourse ( i meant front, rear n all)
increase only if somethin is really not audible.
keep surround delay @ full
do not try going for the BOOST MODE.
