Help regarding post-formatting XP

hey members i want to format xp and i know how to do that but the problem is that -

i have been downloading a series through torrent and its been a month since i have started downloading it, its 45% complete and if i format xp everything will be deleted ????????

just want to know what can i do to keep the torrent as it is,and after formatting xp i should be able to resume the torrent downloading with 45% complete

please help friends
 
^ I have no experience with torrents ; however there should be a way to backup

the torrent configuration settings along with the downloaded part(s) . it actually

depends on the sw utility you use for torrents ! check torrent sw help file / forums
 
Just backup the data which is incomplete and after formatting, copy the data back to the hard disk, run the same torrent and address the location to the folder. It will automatically resume form 45%. I have tried with utorrent but dont know about any other one...
 
hmm thnxs for the info brother

i m also using utorrent and the torrent series is 70gb so cant take proper backup in any other hdd because dont have that much remaining space

but yeah i have 3 drives - c, d, e and the series is being downloaded in E drive

so if i keep the data as it is in the E drive and format C drive it will be ok right ?????
