my Laptop has been overheating A LOTso i have decided to open it up and clean the insides and re-apply thermal paste(fan works properly)i found this "service manual" which shows how to open the laptop in questionso how should i go about it?there are unecessary things which are dissambled and i only want to reapply TIM and clean the processor fani'm planning on using this TIM(it is bundled with a old TIM cleaner too)and what is a thermal pad? the manual says the laptop heatsink uses thermal padscan i replace this thermal pad entirely with fresh thermal paste.will it harm the processor?. because thermal pads are not available in indiaand how to COMPLETELY remove the thermal pads?

It is necessary that you use a thermal pad. If there is no proper contact between the heatsink and the processor then you are in trouble. I dont think TIM would bridge that gap. You can get thermal pads on ebay if you do a little search.
