Help regarding rectification of distorted audio

Hi All,

I recently recorded a few minutes of my nephew talking and only after playing it back I found that the audio was distorted and completely corrupted. All I can hear is some crackling noises.

Kindly tell me if anything can be done regarding the same? Please tell me since this file is very important to us. Any software can help me?

Try experimenting with the default filters available on Audacity
Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder

It would appear that the intended sound wasn't really recorded by the mike, so don't have high expectations of recovering it.

Thank you for your reply. The thing is there was some issue with the firmware of the phone the audios recorded after rebootng the phone were clear and ok. Only this audio was corrupted
