Linux Help required in Joomla 1.5

I am using Joomla 1.5 as CMS for my website.. I am experiencing the below issue while embedding flash..I am a newbie in Joomla CMS and do not have knowledge in HTML...

1. I am able to EMBED flash (.swf) file to an article.. But when I save that article, flash wont play.
2. Tried embedding HTML code for that flash file.. Still the same..

Any suggestions why I am not able to play .swf file will be highly appreciated..

I have already installed one module named swfobject where I can embed a flash file.. It works fine.. But the problem is this module can be fixed in any one of the module positions in the template.. and this cannot be used for embedding the swf to article.. when I create any article there is an option to either embed the .swf file directly or through HTML code.. I tried both, but the flash doesn't show up... If there are any modules that can be used to embed the flash to the article would be a great help...
