I had purchased one Samsung DVD drive made in indonesia in OCT'07 and the shop from which i purchased is closed now.

When i approched samsung service plaza, they told me they do not cater to Samsung DVD drive made in indonesia. What to do now??????

Can you post the Exact model no. along with extension ?

Sadly SH-S202/RSBN model isn't imported by Samsung Directly. It is something which is procured from grey channel. :no:

Where are you located and what problem exactly are you facing in this particular unit ?
 
I am from Kolkata.The problem with the unit it is nit reading/writing CD/DVD. After inserting CD\DVD it is trying to read the disc, but a blank screen is displayed in windows explorer.
 
I am having one Samsung SH-S203B made in Indonesia and bought 4-5 months back and I could register it in the Samsung site the very same day. Still working fine.

Logic Card is gone Kaput.

Sorry couldn't respond yesterday. If your computer hangs/Screen blues while trying to write data which is certainly a Logic card problem.

NoNo.. Pickup/Lens of your drive if perfect, it can be termed as kaput incase you were having some problem if in case you were getting some error while writing/reading the disk. It should haven't been reading even those 650 MB if pickup lens was kaput.
