Help setup Asus 520GU with Tomato..

Hi,
Need some help plz. Got myself an Asus 520GU and flashed it with Tomato 1.27
But I can't connect to the net with this Router!
I'm on an Airtel connection with a Beetel 110Bxi modem which was working fine with a Netgear WGR614 Router.
I've setup the new router for pppoe, with rest of the settings as default.
The same settings were working fine with the Netgear router but isn't working with this one. Please help, Sorry I'm a networking noob. On Windows 7 64bit.

you need to put a ip address in the WAN area?

Why not using pppoe mode on 110bx ?? this way ur wifrouter will get dhcped address

Thanks guys, that did it.

Set the Beetel back to PPPoE and router to DHCP and the net is working again.

But now the problem is that i can't portforward for uTorrent.

I have set up the beetel (on 192.168.1.1) to portforward to the Router on 192.168.0.1 and set up Portforward in the router running tomato to portforward to my PC on 192.168.0.128, but the port isn't open! Some help plz.

You should set the Beetel to bridge mode and enable PPPoE on the Asus router. That way you can use port forwarding/triggering on the router.

do u mean port forward on the modem the ip of the router (192.168.0.1) then on the router port forward the static ip of the pc (192.168.0.5) ??

I think i've already tried this, didn't really work!!

Need some help please!!

On the modem, you'll need to port forward to the WAN IP of the router. And on the router you'll need to port forward to the IP of the PC. But the simplest option is to just bridge the modem and configure PPPoE on the router. Then you just do your port forwarding on the router.

Hi, I tried the bridge mode but the router cannot over PPPoE to the modem at all! As previously mentioned in the first post, so I'm back in PPPoE in modem and router in DHCP mode. Now I've done as I need to forwarded the ports to the Router from the modem and from the router to the PC ( plz see attached screenshots) but the port is still not open!!

Please help!
