Graphic Cards Help Test a GTS 250 (MUMBAI)

Now then, I have a GTS 250(512 mb) lying around for a few months since i've got it from the US.

Have a Zebby 500W platinum and an old 945G with pcie 1.0, not sure whether the card will run.
Could any of you guys from mumbai test the card so that i can ascertain if its working or no??

Any Help would be appreciated.

Where in Mumbai do you live?

Edit: You should be able to check the card on your current PSU, but I would recommend a better one for sustained usage, as that series is not very well known.

I'm from Kandivali.

But will a pcie 2.0 card work on a 1.0 slot?

Yep PCIE 2.0 cards are backward compatible, there will be negligible performance issues due to the interconnect bandwith, but most prolly your processor will be a bottleneck, but no issues otherwise...

Thanks, but the thing is, i don't wanna invest in a psu and then find out that the card isn't working.

So as I said, you can try the card on the current PSU, but would recommend buying a new PSU..

Nope...no use....Tried using it but, there's just no display, the fan on the card is working though.

Did you connect the 6 pin pci-e connector from your PSU ?.

have ur mobo updated to latest bios and try changing the bios video to PCI-e , instead of onboard.

If still it doesnt work, may be your mobo's PCI-e slot or ur card is faulty.

FYI My 9600gt worked fine with my old mobo which is PCI-e 1.0.
