Help with .co.cc domain registration

Yesterday when I tried to register a new domain with the free .co.cc service, it showed that my requested domain name was available. But for some strange reason, they also included a .cc.cc domain(which is not free. Costs 3$/yr).

So I am not able to get the free domain as I have to pay to register.

Can anybody here check and tell me if registering without the .cc.cc domain is possible or not?

Haven't tried .co.cc but I've used .tk Its free too!

if u register more than 3 domains, u will get charged.

I had registered a co.cc domain about 2 years back and its still active but was never charged.

Guys, solved my problem.

Actually I was trying to map a premium domain. That was why I was being charged. I changed the domain name and voila, I registered it for free.

The best part is that the domain has been mapped in just 2 hours.
