Help with Disth TV Setup

Hi,

recently i decided to do the alignment myself as CC of dishtv is pathetic in providing their services. i got the alignment almost done but was not getting the required signal strength/quality so i decided to reset the STB to factory settings and re-do the process again.

but now the only message that i see is - NO SERVICES INSTALLED and when i press OK it shows - TUNING FAILED.

How can i scan the channels now and get the thing working. As i would like to do it myself before calling CC.

any ideas?? :huh:
 
Did you note down the settings before embarking on this adventurous task? If yes, then first set it to those values and then try alignment.

Personally I feel you should have let the experts do it as they have the required equipment to test signal strength and accuracy in alignment.
 
^^ yes you are right. So I again called up DTV CC and gave the complaint regarding alignment and to my surprise and luck the tech. arrived and repaired the thing withing 2 hrs.
 
Hi, I am using TATA Sky dish TV. I have installed one Dish and one set off box. Is it possible to watch channel in two different TV set together? If it is possible then how we can go for that? Thanks.

yes dude,,, you can connect another TV in parallel using the RF out of the STB, or which ever port is not currently used, but pls remember you can onle the SAME channel on both TV's

If you take Multiroom subscription for second room then you can watch different channels. I don't know the current charges but earlier it was Rs. 125.
