Help with domains

Hi,

I have bought a domain not long ago. Lets say for now its xyz.com.
Now I intend to host a wordpress blog on the same domain along with the main website.

So I have made a blog folder on the host and installed and set up wordpress. Its functioning now at www.xyz.com/blog

Now I want it set up so that the url blog.xyz.com redirects to www.xyz.com/blog.

Any Idea how would I go about setting that up?

Just 1 think, it was working fine till some time ago, I fiddled around with something that is now showing me
"Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server"

Now if someone can tell me, what ip address should I be using to update the A name with my domain registrar. Is it the shared ip address? There does not seem to be anything else which specifies otherwise.

Kindly help!
