Help with Firefox

So guys, FF is my primary browser and its been acting up a lot lately. This includes crashing and hanging and sometimes outrageously high RAM usage (given its a RAM hogger, but 400MB with two tabs open is too much:@). I want to do a fresh install, but dont wanna lose all the settings, bookmarks, browsing history, saved info (pass, search results). How do i go about this ?
I did the reinstall where you uninstall the app leaving the settings as it is but my problems still persist.
 
Which version you are using?

Mine is 3.6.13

Anyway go to bookmarks tab in menu ->select organize bookmarks->Import & Backup->backup (will create a .json file with which you can restore bookmarks).

Settings and addons you need to re-install,so,before uninstalling FF take a note of addons.

Hope this helps.

Edit: btw you can also instal IE beta 9 it is good as a secondary browser.
 
use firefox sync, it'll backup your password,settings,bookmarks,history,themes on online server, but it'll not backup addons.

Hey guys use Xmarks addon for Backing up ur Bookmarks and passwords, its really sweet and am using it for more than a year without any probs..... And also it is compact able with all browsers, IE8 Chrome etc, check out their website for more info..... Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search
 
^^yeah it's good, why i forget about it:P
i'm using it in chrome. if someone to start syncing bookmarks, he should use xmarks as it's multi browser supported
 
Thanks for your replies everyone. Firefox sync worked very well and i ve lost none of the things i was afraid of losing because of re-installing FF :)
