Help with MS Exchange / Contacts Sync

Hey guys,

I'm planning on picking up a new cellphone to use exclusively as a business phone. This is my current setup:

1. Macbook running Outlook 2011
2. iPhone 4 using IMAP to sync email to corporate ID.

Now I'd like my new biz phone to sync email and contact to Outlook 2011. I don't need these biz contact to sync to my iPhone as it's a personal phone.

So the questions are:

1. Is MS Exchange the best solution to sync or are there 3rd party sync services available (I don't mind paying).
2. What phone should I pick within a 8-10k bracket (No BB please!!)

I have only ans for que - 1
I think MS Exchanges is good as many of my friends use it and never heard that they are having problem with it.
