Help with PS3 bought from US

Okay so I have a friend who got his PS3 Super slim from US. And we both know nothing about it. We are PS2 guys.
Now the PS3 says 110-120 V. He has a local converter that he uses with his LCD(also from US) that converts 240V to 110V. The converter has written over it 50W and the LCD's rating is 46W so it works fine.
Now I want to know if that converter can be used to run PS3 super slim as it uses 190W max?

I can assure you that PS3 has universal PSU rating so you can plug it to direct plug it in your home... It will work with 110v as well as 220v directly without needing any convertor at all...

I had used USA import ps3 but don't know if something has changed inside or not?
You can Google about it, there are many information related to your issue..

Buy a power converter. I am sure your cable will not fit into Indian sockets.

Not sure about the slim PS3 but my fat PS3 from US worked without a hitch on 220V even though it only mentioned110-120V
