help with the internet

hi guys,

renectly i have bought myself an imac with o/s 10.4.7 intel c2d with wifi and ethernet inbuilt. i also have a mtnl triband connection i would like to configure and use alongwith the imac, can some1 please help me configure it using the ethernet?

You do have a router from bsnl right? Just configure the router to dial into bsnl automatically... just go to the router config page: 192.168.1.1 mostly... and the username passords are admin admin... generally. Then just choose ppoe and put in your username password. As for the mac it's pretty straight forward. After youre done with the router... choose ipv4 for the mac and put in the default gateway as your router ip. and choose another ip for your comp in that range.
