I am from Bangalore and a Techie.
Let me surprise all of you with my PC configuration. I have a PC which is ancient, almost antique, by today's standard, but works very well. Pentium 200 MHz MMX ! Intel YM430TX mobo,256 MB RAM,(thats the maximum it can have), Creative Soundcard (AWE64) with two speakers, S3 Virge video adapter card with 4 MB memory, 80 GB IDE HDD and also a 4 GB HDD, LG CD Writer,D Link LAN card,Samtron CRT Monitor,FDD, Samsung Keyboard and Scroll mouse and with Broadband Internet connectivity. I have been having this PC since the last 9 years ! Cannot use this for 3D video games, too slow.(Not much into gaming anyway).No problem for internet surfing, downloading, listening to internet music, playing Audio/Video CD or email. Too slow for Google Earth. Presently with Windows2000 OS.Hobbies include digital photography and using the PC for digital camera photo editing too.

Not an issue here pal!!

and 2 of my friends still using PIII 500 for same purpose as you!!
coz they are busy with work and just need to catch up on some mails, etc and some music!!

So it doesn't really matter what others are presently using, its about what you gonna use it for and does it do that without any issues!!:cool2:
