I just stumbled onto this forum and it looked interesting, so I decided to join. I'm from the USA, but as I look around, it seems that the majority of the members here are from India, and yet the main language is English. Is there some sort of explanation for this?

Yes, in most public schools in the cities, the medium of teaching is english. That should probably explain why the main language here is english.
