Hidden CAB File Creator In Windows, Create .cab files with a hidden Windows feature
Wanna fit a 2 to 3Gb program on a single CD? Forget trying to use BS compressors like Uharc an KGB.Its compression is even better than WinRar.
You already got a great one built right into Windows... and "Bill Gates" didn't tell you. how else you think they fit an entire OS and Apps on one CD?

Go to: Start Menu/ select 'Run Program", and type in "iexpress.exe"

You'll start the built in Windows cabinet file maker. now you can turn those bulky files into little, teeny-weeny .cab files!!

I tried it, and compressed 3.2Gb of files into 6 .cab files totaling 678Mb- Which WILL fit on one CD-R!!!It also incorporates a built in "self-extractor" program too.You could easily create a custom OS disc by adding the OS, and any Programs you want, or maybe a drivers database? or even a few good Games!

Do try it when u'r in need 2 compress big files to a smaller one. Compressions much better than zip/rar :ohyeah:

@Quad - if you want more manipulation features you can try the cabarc from Microsoft. It is a command line driven application but has plenty of options.
