Budget 31-40k High Performance Laptop For Multitasking

I'm looking for a new laptop in range of Rs.30,000 - 40,000 for multitasking. Main requirements are:

- Minimum 14" screen size
- Minimum 3 hour battery backup
- Minimum 500 GB storage space
- Minimum 4 GB RAM (More the merrier)
- Should be of a reputed and reliable brand
- Should be sleek. Don't prefer plasticy ones.

Some additional questions:
- What would be better: Windows 7 or 8?
- Which processor will be ideal for me: i3 or i5?
- Are there any upcoming models within next few months?
