HI guys,
I'm located at chennai.
I'm on the 1299 swift plan (which gives 512kbps 6am to 10pm and 1mbps 10pm to 6am).
Recently airtel screwed up my broadband connection :-[ while fixing my airtel landline.
then they fixed it up(sort of),replaced my old 220bx modem with a new 110TC1 modem.
the thing is the pings are too high,due to this my youtube viewing experience has taken a hit.
now the pings on average from speedtest.net are: :S
320ms
299ms
287ms
263ms
earlier they used to be around the 100 mark.
I have shifted to google dns(Nope,makes no differnece
)
then tried pingtest.net,am getting C's and D's more consistently now.
Used to get only A's and B's before.
I called up airtel,told them that pings were very high,and i don't even think they understood me properly
So any ideas on what to do to lower the ping. :huh:
