Graphic Cards high temp on xfx 7300gs

I reapplied thermal paste on it recently. The temp when idle is 90 deg C and drops to 75 deg C when the fan is on max rpm and goes back to ~90 deg C when i start playing a game.

Did I do something wrong when applying thermal paste ?

SHould i Do it again ?

I checked with both speedfan and everest

Which Termal Paste u applied dude???..make sure that the HS properly seated..also apply only a thin layer

cooler master.. will check the heatsink and re apply the paste and post again

re applied the thermal paste .. the temps are still the same.

any clues how to fix it now

The temps are quite high AFAIK ...May be something to do with the fan of the
HS????..

the temp drops when i increase the fan speed from speedfan

figured out the problem... the fan on the heat sink wasn't working .. now temps are down to 50 deg
