Hello Frenz,
I am facing a strange AUDIO problem i.e. Whenever i connect my Creative EP-630 earphones behind my PC, There is a weired hiss/static sound disturb in the background. With the headphones there is no problem. Where can be the problem guyz? Because the EP-630 earphones runs perfectly with my PSP.
I hope my techi frenz will solve my problem.
Advance thanks:)

May be ur pc not grounded well(guessing)or some thing like static power ?..Better my advice not to connect it to the PC as it may end its life

also try changing the device to headphones in the control panel (sound settings)

Guys, I am working on it but still not succeeded. Well! I have got a clue.. Noise remains silent during restart until Windox XP logo starts loading. I mean there is no statis/hiss noise when PC restarts until WindowsXP screen comes.

The soundcard will not be active during boot because the drivers are not loaded. Thats why you arent getting the hiss then.

The EP630 is a very sensitive earphone and extremely finicky. A lot of the onboard soundcards + a few DACs exhibit the same problem with EP630 and not with any other earphone. My laptop has the same issue too. Infact I hear screeching noises when I use the touchpad.

Theres nothing much you can do. Try a cheapo headphone amp if possible - might help.
