Hissing sound with EP-630 bought from palika bazaar

Yesterday i bought a creative EP-630 from palika bazaar.The problem is there is a strange hissing sound whenever i play any music.(.i.e.when i press the play button on my N70ME phone).So is it fake ??? Cost me 900 bux
 
Palika Bazaar??? Damn, most probably a fake! Why on earth would you want to get one from palika of all places in Delhi? Couldn't you source one from Nehru place instead? :huh:

Heck it was a lot cheaper.

Anyhow report the problem ASAP and see if the dealer could replace it. If replaced, check it then and there. Else ask a refund although thats next to impossible. :(

i dont think that an earphone by itself can create hiss. try it out on a good mp3 player.

The EP 630 is a bit more sensitive, and any residual hiss in a players output will be magnified
 
Lots of sound cards have problem with an ultra-sensitive earphone like the EP630. Try with a different source like greenie said.

True. Especially Nokia phones. Even my friend reported a hiss with his old Nokia 5300. Works fine with his ipod and other players :)
 
If possible, Go in that shop and get Original or get ur money back :P ( I donno conditions in Palika bazaar... I just heard that I can get good Ahem Games there at cheap rates :bleh:)

were are they for 675 bucks :S . atleast in CE n all such places they were for 900 bucks just a week back
