for the the new TE look is a bit of hit n miss. I love the overall simplistic and web 2.0 kind of template but also too much of javascript, ajax going on the the background - specially the Ad window at the right side(its loads everytime i come to the homepage). Also the icons used against the thread titles and tiles looks more complicated

This is not a final look of TE, staff is sorting it out... So we need to wait for the final look :)

regards...

If i am not mistaken, the sidebar existed even earlier. So what exactly is the problem with the present sidebar? (Is it that its too gaudy or uses too many effects or just has too much data?)

And you are complaining about ajax already, i was about to add even more in market ;)

The side bar seems to be a pain. I earlier would browse the site using js blockers, and don't remember seeing it. However, now I have had to disable the js blocker so I can minimise the side bar. I guess I will have to look a little more to figure out which is the script which controls the side bar open / close. That one really isn't to my liking.

hi safin,,yeah thats the beauty of the earlier version of TE , I don't even realize that there is a sidebar. Here is a screen shot of the TE while loading initially >>

,,see the right blank grey area -that is the space for the right side bar which is minimize automatically later when the page fully downloaded-->this happen every time I load the page which remind me there is a minimized sidebar and hamper the overall smoothness of the site. Also the minimizing and maximizing side bar action is not very smooth.

I don't have anything again ajax but somehow when I open the new TE page it gives me feel that there is lots of stuff going on in background which not in earlier version.

update 2: mutli-quote is not displayed properly, check this screenshot >>

, it somehow floaty

my browser : Firefox 3.6.3

There is not enough contrast between the read and unread posts. You have to look carefully to differenciate between the read and unread posts. Earlier no effort was required for the same.

In the skin we are going to have finally, i will try to fix this for you. This is an issue that happens due to CSS and area being left for content at the page generation stage which is added later. Tables work differently by first spreading 100% and then getting compressed as sidebar code comes.

Its not really my fault :P this is default css behaviour. :P
