Hitachi Launches First Blu-ray Camcorder:clap:

Hitachi has created and officially launched the world’s first Blu-ray camcorder. It has announced two versions of Blu-ray disc camcorders. Both camcorders have the ability to record full high-definition video directly to a single-side, single-layer Blu-ray disc giving up to one hour of 1920×1080 resolution video on the disc.:D

The company will launch two models. The first is the DZ-BD7H which sports a Blu-ray drive and a 30GB hard disk drive and can record up to record roughly four hours of 1920 x 1080 full high-def video, or 8 hours 1440x1080 high-def video.:D

The second model is the DZ-BD70, a non HDD version that can record a measly one hour of 1920 x 1080 video or two hours of 1440x1080 video on an 8cm BD disc. It might not sound like a lot on the second camera but those discs can still store five times more than a blank 8cm DVD.

The DZ-BD7H model is actually a “hybrid†camcorder with the ability to record the high-definition video to either the Blu-ray disc or an internal 30GB hard drive which can hold up to four hours of the 1920×1080 high-def video. Once recorded onto the hard drive the camera itself can transfer the video onto the Blu-ray disc without the need for any external components.

Both cameras have all the same features but the DZ-BD70 model does not have the internal HDD and has only the Blu-ray disc. Both Hitachi Blu-ray camcorders make use of a high-definition lens and 5.3 megapixel progressive CMOS sensor which does 2.07 megapixles for video and 4.32 for still images.
The cameras are launch next month in Japan and worldwide in October. The prices – there – for the DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70 are around £800 and £675, respectively

I definitely want this one, camcorder with blu-ray + HD. :) I'll make my own HD movie then:P .
