After reading an internet report which claimed HL2: Aftermath would be released on the 24th of April while HL2: Platinum would be available much earlier, on the 28th of January, I decided to e-mail Valve Software's Doug Lombardi in order to ask for a confirmation. This is the response I received (many thanks to Doug):
Update: In addition to the great news Mod HQ first revealed above, our affiliate TeamKilled reports that Lombardi has confirmed HL1 DeathMatch: Source will be included with Aftermath which will be sold for around $20.
The Platinum edition of Half-Life 2 will cost about $50 while special pre-order offers will be available for the new titles in both Steam and retail variations.
Make sure that you stay tuned on Mod HQ for any more developments on this and any other Half-Life 2 related matter!
