Here i go again asking the same question for a new non geek friend of mine.
Need suggestions for a high-quality desktop which will be used for basic uses: emailing/watching HD content etc.
Components i've shortlisted:

CPU:
Intel G630 Rs. 3500/-
Motherboard:
Gigabyte GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-HA65M-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.0) Rs. 5500/-
OR this one if end-user wants to bring price down and sacrifice USB3:
http://www.flipkart.com/gigabyte-ga...ZYRX&ref=ea946a8f-2109-4645-95ac-6bd3410ea969
Ram:
Corsair 4GB Value Select Rs. 1000/-
Hdd:
Western digital 500GB Rs. ????/-
DVD writer
HP Rs. 1000/-
PSU:
Corsair VS350 Rs. 2000/-
Cabinet:
Need inputs on this one. Need a cheap one with bottom mounted PSU and front USB3 ports and one without USB3 ports.
Compact design preferred. Probably coolermaster.
LCD:
Dell 22" Full HD with LED technology and HDMI port. Please suggest a good VFM model.

Thanks in advance.
Vivek.

HP Box DVD-RW-1k
Nzxt Source 210 Elite-2.6k OR Cooler Master 311 Plus-3.2k

Hey thanks,
The mobo i've listed has HDMI and that all end user needs, a basic cabinet would do ... coolermaster? how about the corsair VS350? It is corsair, can't be that bad for 2k?

Alright whatever your friend needs,You said you need a case with front USB 3.0 and bottom psu mounting one so both the above cases have that.If you want basic case then you won't get USB 3.0 or Bottom PSU.
Hey thanks,

Yup my bad :p Please give me 3 options:
1) Bottom mounted PSU with front USB3 ports.

Cooler Master eLite 311 + this (I hope your non-geeky friend is also Delhi-based)

2) Bottom mounted PSU with no front USB3 ports.

Cooler Master eLite 311

3) Cheapest cabinet with no USB3 on front panel and top mounted psu.

Cooler Master eLite 310 OR local cabinet.

Psu: Corsair VS350

Avoid this SMPS, go for an FSP Saga II 400W unit if budget is constrained --> FSP SAGA II 400 400W Power Supply - SAGA II 400 by: FSP - TechShop.in.

All answers in bold, Cheers!

Hey is the VS350 that bad? It is cheap mainly because it is a region based psu supporting only 240V and they might be using some ow quality caps etc to make it cheaper??

The Corsair VS series built quality hasn't been up to the mark as VX/CX V2,So avoid the VS350 and go with FSP SagaII 400W OR Corsair CX430V2.

Any jonnyguru reviews of it? For 2k i think it is better than FSP.. i'll check though..

Yes, in-fact here is the forum(s) incriminating the VS and the newer batches of CX series SMPS.

Fake SAMXON cap in Corsair PSU? - Badcaps Forums / Would Corsair have caught bad caps or coils in their RMA process?.

Hope this dispels any doubts about how the price is being dropped to such lows.

FSP is a OEM and thus has the option of pricing its products so low because other companies buy their designs OR ask them to fabricate a certain line of SMPS and that is where their main revenue is from.
