I saw some laptop coolers in market, like the coolermaster.
They had the cooling slots at wrong place, most of the coolers either missed the Ram or HDD spots.
So, frustrated as I was, I thought of ‘why not build my own cooling solution?
So after spending a mere 50bucks for the thermocol, I laid out the laptop under body (air vent) location. (See pic 3rd, 4th)
The fan is a spare cabinet fan, I used my old broken gamepad’s USB cable and joined it with the fan.
When keeping the fan near the processor & graphics car outlet, the temp. of Gfx Card is at 50degree Celsius.
Idle Temperatures
Before:
Gfx card - 53-55degs.
HDD temp - 55 degrees
After:
Gfx card – 50degs
HDD – 48 degs.
No major changes in CPU temp, still at 57 & 59degs (core 1 & core 2 resp.)
I Dunno how to take RAM temperature

I want your expertise in placing the fan.
I want the optimum place (at rear
), from where all the three slots get cold air & obviously a output.
This is basic layout, I wanted to test this design.
Didn’t cut much of the thermocol because, then the weight of laptop will upset the ‘level’ (overall height level).
Once I get a good design, then I’ll send this to some plastic molding company (small firms who do projects for college noobs).
So far, I’m happy with the time spent on this, over the weekend.
hyeah:
btw, is there any software which benchmarks the load & temps of 'proc., gfx card, HDD, & RAM'?
