Audio Home theater system for Samsung B7000

Hi All,

I have got a Samsung B7000(LED) TV, can any one suggest a good home theater system under 20k?​

Philips HTIB as the best options for anything under 20K,unless you want a dedicated AV receiver.But then that is above 40K case.



Please get the demo of Philips HTIBs and i guarantee you will be satisfied.Nothing,i repeat nothing beats the thing for 20K

Those entry-level AVR+speaker combos from Onkyo (S3100?) should be better than most HTIBs retailing for a similar price. Denon has a model for about 25k IINM - I dont recollect the model.

Philips 3571 beats Onkyo 3200 and is 5-10k cheaper as well.

You are right.Even in AV Max Magazine i read somewhere Philips entry level not only beats but totally pawns entry level AVR like onkyo and even denon.

Trust us.Nothing better than Philips HTIB in 20K range.

Nope then things changes because then you can lay your hands on the used Audio Video market which is in totally different league.

If your budget is 30k...check out new Onkyo's entry-level HT-S3300 HTIB, you won't get any DVD player out of the box...but u get a massive connectivity/AVR for your future upgradeable component such as BD,DVD etc...

It will be release soon at 25k....

Looks like the Philips model is indeed a underdog . Going through a few reviews and impressions its difficult to digest but it seems to be the best in entry level HTs.

Well im searching for a htib too, 15-18k is the budget.. was looking for onkyo, demoed the denons too, sony's new range..even lg, but havent been able to find a shop that stocks phillips

I already have a 5.1 surround system, with prologic and all, but it doest hav optical in

It sounds very awesome, the bass pwns even the denons i heard, in dvd surround playback..And i dont mean boomy and crappy effects, they are actually GOOD..

Had got this unit for 26k few yrs back..its a 3cd changer + tape player..

If you want anything similar, i demoed a sony 20k htib dvd player with optical in, the shop had a blueray player and i made him pass through audio through optical and it was awesome...high on details compared to an lg player,that retails for 13 k, for the same scene in "Wanted" blueray, ...it sounded sweet not harsh.. but certainly not vfm...

I'l go and search for some place to demo phillips tomorrow and report back..

And dont just look for god sound, check the surround compatiblity, like dd, dts etc..anyone has any idea abt htibs that play the hd versions like dts hdmaster etc?

Onkyo HT-S3300 is available @25k, i have inquired with one of the dealer (Onkyo world, Whitefield Forum Value Mall, Bangalore). Just waiting for some more reviews before purchasing it!
