Home Theatre for 50-60k

Guys... have been peddling with the idea of building a home theatre system with a budget around 50-60k... Have 2 schools of thought going on:

1) Right now in my budget of 50-60k just go for 2 bookshelves and preferably an HDMI reciever

2) Try to squeeze in an allrounder including 5 speakers + sub + reciever in my budget...

Dont have any idea of local prices and models available here apart from some window shopping. Collegue had suggested some Jamo bookshelves (pair for 50-60k) and Marantz reciever and he said that you could hear a guy breath in this setup. I would appreciate your suggestions, name, model number and prices.

Thanks in advance.

I had created a thread sometime ago regarding the same. Why not have a look at that as well. Click on threads created by me and you'll find it. If you want to cut to the chase though, then I eventually settled for a JBL + Harmon Kardon setup for about 40k. It's mentioned in the thread I created.

I need an AV reciver that supports 1080p and has HDMI.... Denon you have mentioned doesnt have it.... Any A/V reciever south of 30k in India that has this?

Ok... have been doing a little bit of research at my own end.... how good are Jamo PDD 406 speaker set for 47k?
Also found the Denon 2807 to be an excellent reciever that suites my needs. It retails for 1100 - 1200 USD approx. Found a website in India where its listed for 65k:

A/V Receivers Home Page - Sumaria

Thats a little over budget as I want something in a the region of 55k so that the complete setup sets me back by 1 peti only...

Can I source the above amp in 55k? If so, which place? Thanks in advance.

I guess ONKYO HT-SR800 is a good option that has just reached India. Priced at about 54k, you should get it at a discount at about 48k all inclusive. Its got HDMI switching/upsampling & its a 7.1 AVR/speaker package.
