Television will be additional so dont suggest that, Already got a Sony Wega

Please suggest Brand with Model number:

Its merits and demits.

Would prefer one with Divix player.

Would help if any one has any personal exprience with their systems

If you can extend your budget a little, I would suggest the famous Logitech Z5500 with a standalone DVD player.

I have the same setup in my home with the Logitech Z-680, and trust me, it'll beat any entry-level HTIB pants down. All the entry level home theatre system have low RMS and power ratings.
 
^^^SEcond that.get a good DVD player and hook it up along with a good soundcard and ur ready to rock.
 
u can also go for the logitech Z-5300 5.1 speaker system, RMS rating of 280 watts..
its cheaper.. around 10k
