The 80% discount was on for 2-3 minutes, and then the whole billing system came crashing down ...as per HG Twitter this offer was valid for first 100 customers

no dude it was only up for less than a minute. As soon as i finished entering all info and clicked register the request timed out. Atleast i could see the 80% off page most people could not even see that
