Hotfile or Megaupload?

Also at 3-4pm india time there is megaupload happy hour where registered users (free)can avial benefits equivalent to a premium user. That is only for an hour though.

without a premium account you can download all day long with jdownloader.Could you elaborate plz?

^^ I guess it means that just copy paste the links and it will download the files ones by one (or may be parallel ??? ) and you dont need to take effort of going to MU site through the download link, entering the captcha and then wait for 45 seconds or so.

Raks pretty much explained it there. Most of the HD movies,Xbox games come in DLC format for MU. Click open the file with JD and you will get all the links open in JD. It will then proceed to download all of them with full speed. Incase u dont find DLC just copy to clipboard.

I don't upload anything, so any perks of uploading wouldn't concern me. I think I'll settle for MU and also get some additional RS points from Ebay, so I can alternate between both of them.

Saar Upload benifits are of primary concern to the uploaders not ppl like you and me who download stuff. If the File hosting site offers good perks to the Uploaders you will see more of that Site links in forums around you. Thats the reason why some ppl prefer Hotfile to MU.

One thing i have noticed with Mu and rapidshare ,They scan all uploads and kill files ASAP .HF doesn't do it often .MU allows multiple IP downloads,the MU account i am using is my friends who is in Brazil.

Well i downloaded an 2008 upload which had it sourced from a blog.the blog was removed but the file links i got from search indexing sites were all there.

Yup it doesn't .I am not sure whether my friend is downloading or uploading but i am using his account from past 1 year .He purchased the account from Brazil which means MU does have his IP address registered and even i am downloading so they do have my IP address but never got a warning nor the account is banned.

Thanks guys for the jdownloader. It is simply awesome for megaupload links. Automatic captcha recognition, automatic waiting and automatic downloading of all links. I love it.

frankly speaking i don't see the need of a MU premium account as i , a non-premium user, have been able to download as much i want, without waiting(except for the 45 second wait) at around 250-300kbps( full utilization of the net connection).The only gripe is that i have to manually enter captcha.

Here's my modus operandi -
1)Open the megaupload link.Wait for 45 seconds after entering captcha and then click on regular download.
2)After IDM has captured the download, i stop it as soon as it starts.
3)Repeat the above steps for all the links.
4)Add all the links to a seperate queue in IDM and choose no of file downloads as 1.
5) Start the queue.

Using the above method i have downloaded around 12 -15 gb data daily from megaupload without the need of a premium account or a reduction in speed or any data restrictions.

Thus you can folllow the above method for downloading content that is strictly available on megaupload while using hotfile as your main file host.

P.S. - I too will be getting a hotfile account soon.Hotfile also supports upto 5 IPs
