Laptops how about lenovo g450 with nvidia g210m gpu?

There is another lenovo model ( probably IdeaPad Y550 41862CQ, check in the lenovo site ) which costs around 44k and have GT240M which is twice fast as GT210. I think only lenovo provides lappy with GT240M in India.

I would say a big no to pay 32k-33k for a T4300 based laptop when you can get C2D mobile based ones for the same price and for 37k, Acer 5738G with HD4650/HD4670 Mobile GPU is very good buy.

Lenovo - Notebook computers - Lenovo 3000 G Series

how good is it?? it has got intel dual core t4300 processor, which is almost equivalent to t6400 c2d,it has got 512mb nvidia g210m gpu which should give it decent gaming performance..price is not too bad.

are there other laptops in this range with a good enough gpu?? sony vaio with almost same configuration costs around 37000..
Overall I would suggest you to wait for arrival of Arrandale CPUs from Intel. It was already launched by Intel and may take upto 1 month for arrival at shopping shelf.

The C2D6500 processor costs 4k more than T4300 processor

Intel® Core?2 Duo Processor T6500 (2M Cache, 2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) with SPEC Code(s)

Intel® Pentium® Processor T4300 (1M Cache, 2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) with SPEC Code(s) SLGJM

The only difference between the two is 1MB L2 cache in T4300 against the 2MB L2 Cache in the T6500.

Even the bus width is the same.

So plz explain how the 4k price hike is justified ? just the name C2d against the Pentium dual is the difference.

One more of intel's marketing gimmick to make noobs believe that the T-6500 which is C2D is far more superior to the T-4300 Pentium Dual.

If the difference is just 1k then it is ok. 1MB of L2 cache costs 4k??? Its better to go a entry level GPU like the HD4330 or 210GM/220GM for the 4k which will improve the laptop's performance by a fair margin compare to a 1MB L2 cache

the asus k40ab is fantastic value for money..but it has amd processor,n i'v heard a lot of bad views about it getting hot and then underperforming.the lenovo one is quite good too and i think t4300 is better than amd processor.only thing is that its the starting of new year and g210m might be overshadowed by new gpu at this price pretty soon...by the way any news about samsung r470 with g210m??if it comes for 38000,then its quite a steal..
